Summer Theater Experience

three One-week Workshop Sessions which are designed for skills building and end with a performance for the camp, and
one Three-week Performance Session culminating in a fully-staged musical with costumes and set performed for family and friends

Lynn Sharp Spears and her talented staff have designed a camp for teens aged 12-17 with an interest in all aspects of theater. Students work with theater professionals from Washington DC and New York City in a challenging and supportive environment, building skills in acting, improv, voice and diction, movement and dance, audition technique, stage combat, stage makeup and mask making and performance.

We have wonderful locations for our sessions this summer! Thanks to Christopher Henley at Washington Shakespeare Company, and Maureen and David Freshour at Chevy Chase Baptist Church. Great thanks to Debbie McConnell and David Simmons at the Washington Youth Choir at The Atlas Theater. We just had auditions at The Atlas and what beautiful voices we heard that day!
