LYNN SHARP SPEARS

Lynn first directed in the DC Metro area for Damascus Theater Company, where she was a founding member, in 1985. She went on to Direct, Design and Perform for Adventure Theater for 15 years where she was Artistic Director of the 2002-2003 season. The first season there to use scripts by all local playwrights, four of which were women. She was the Drama Department Director for Georgetown Prep from 2003-2007. Lynn began designing for Cronkite Ward Company in 1991, and was Casting Associate, and Production Designer for many of their Great Books and Understanding series. She has done casting and design for Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, The History Channel, National Geographic and more.  Lynn was the Production Designer for the world premiere opera “The Song of Eddie,” in New York, which was considered for a 2004 Pulitzer Prize.
